We are just back from Easter break which started on Good Friday and ended on Easter Monday. There are different delicacies to celebrate this holiday such as Easter bunnies, hot cross buns and the list goes on. One of the most common traditions to celebrate Easter is the egg decoration. Eggs represent rebirth and life, so associating them with spring and new growth isn’t much of a stretch. Thus, people colour eggs and give them to friends and family as gifts.
To celebrate Easter, an exciting class competition was on its way! SMEAG English thought at an Easter egg hunt for our students to go and have fun. Our staff members hid chocolates in Flagstaff gardens and gave simple hints to be unveiled by our students in groups such as riddles and puzzles. Our students went out to find where the eggs were and rushed back to school to show us. All our teachers and students enjoyed this competition and it was lovely to get some fresh air, especially on a sunny day!
